The Michael Pelz-Sherman (MPS) Trio plays sophisticated-yet-approachable jazz, ranging from classic standards (Rogers & Hammerstein, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, etc.) and original interpretations of contemporary popular songs by Lennon and McCartney, the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Paul Simon, the Goo Goo Dolls, etc.. Standing on the shoulders of such giants as Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and Brad Mehldau, the MPS Trio joins a distunguished tradition of artists reinventing the piano trio format.
